Dr. Jennifer VanBeck graduated from University of Rochester with a Bachelors degree in Psychology, and from Widener University with both a Masters Degree and a Doctorate (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology. While at Widener, Jennifer completed a prestigious internship at the Caron Foundation, a substance abuse program, and post-doctorate training at the well-known and regarded Renfrew Center for eating disorders.
After receiving her license, she spent several years working with medically compromised adults and the elderly. Jennifer has extensive experience helping adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, life transitional issues, grief and loss, trauma, eating disorders, and addictive behaviors. She has expertise in both short-term and long-term therapy and uses a variety of techniques to help her clients achieve wellness and happiness.
Jennifer moved to St. Joseph recently from New York City. She has already become active in the St. Joseph Rotary Club, and has become a Detroit Lions fan (although she still loves her New York Giants).
