Susan graduated from Ferris State University with a Bachelor of Science degree as well as an Associate degree in Applied Arts. She furthered her education at Grand Valley State University, where she completed a Masters degree in Clinical Social Work. Susan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and is also certified in Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy through The Wellness Institute. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Michigan Chapter of Social Workers..
Susan has over 20 years of experience guiding people to a more enjoyable life. She understands that people seek mental health assistance for various reasons: for themselves, their families, or work-related issues. She has experience working through a variety of situations, including relationship issues, personal tragedies, long-term discouragement, depression, substance abuse, anger, child or teen behavioral issues, and many others. She has worked with individuals, couples, and families, helping each of them discover themselves. Susan has experience working with children, teenagers, and adults; her approach to therapy is that regardless of age or education, each person knows his or her own truth and is able to find his or her own answers.
To give her clients the best opportunity for success, Susan offers a range of behavioral health services, including traditional psychotherapy as well as hypnotherapy. As a therapist, Susan strives to educate, motivate, support, and guide her clients to discover their truth and purpose in their lives.
